Paharganj is an area directly west of the New Delhi Railway Station, bordered by Panchkuian Road in the south, Igdah Road in the north, and Deshraj Bhatia Marg/Chitragupta Road in the west. Ambedkar Stadium is the main football facility in Delhi and has hosted international fixtures like the Nehru Cup Football Tournament and World Cup Qualifiers.It also hosts domestic football tournaments like the I-League, Durand Cup.
It also houses the ruins of the fifth city of Delhi Feroz Shah Kotla or Ferozabad. Pragati Maidan is the nearest Metro station and is at least 3km far from the stadiums.
Kashmere Gate lies at the junction of Yellow Line, Violet Line and Red Line of Delhi Metro.
The area contains several gateways, hunting lodges and stepwells of the Sultanate period.
Delhi Gate metro station is another metro station which is located Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, gate number 16,17 of Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium are just 20 m from the gate metro station. The area also contians memorial of former Prime Ministers, Presidents and other national leaders. Feroz Shah Kotla is the main cricket stadium of the city and can accommodate over 40,000 spectators.
A significant amount of colonial architecture is present in the area and includes war memorials, churches and a couple of Christian Cemeteries. The Shahjahanabad was constructed by the fourth Mughal ruler Shahjahan and consisted of a wall city centred on the Red Fort (an UNESCO Heritage Site) and Jama Masjid.

ITO metro station is about 1.7 km from the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. It hosts international-level one day, T20 and test matches on a regular basis. However, both the venues suffer from inadequate parking space. The region has three other lines red, yellow and violet line.
The blue line also runs along the southern edge of the central Delhi region. Central Delhi houses the two major stations of Delhi, thus providing a direct access to visitors coming to Delhi by train.
It is served by the Chandi Chowk metro station. The blue line passes through the southern edge of the Central Delhi. Apart from the orange line Central Delhi area has four other metro lines. Prices needs to be negotiated and fixed before the trips start.
