Here is the issue that I'm currently experiencing. have you configured your ipv6 in the nighthawk?The R7800 or R7450 will never hit speeds >1gig over the 5ghz. I ran the test again last night when I go PC > Spectrum Router > Spectrum Modem with IPv6 disabled it initially only gives me 200mpbs.
(I'll update the post when I get the number) I was going to try and do a hard reset back to factory settings for the router tonight to see if that fixes the issue.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Yeah, I miss AT&T. don't enable any traffic monitoring/qos/etc as they aren't recommended on >250mbps service.
Hi everyone.. after a 3 hour ordeal involving replacing cables from the pole to the house(3 times).. house to the wall drop.. Paying more now for 100/10, been stuck in a loop of being given shitty Puma6 modems with no firmware updates since 2016 even tho the providers on the other end of town have long since updated them, and no working IPV6.

Is it possible to turn off the IPv4 on the WAN side of the Nighthawk and have it only use IPv6 on the WAN, but still have an IPv4 LAN network? In some cities, there are three plans: 100 Mbps, 400 Mbps, and 940 Mbps.
Im getting 400 mbps wired, My issue is with the WIFI speed only getting 200 mbps.
In some parts of the country, only one or two of these plans are available. spectrum modem------spectrum router (setup for router mode with whatever gave you 400mbps)--------->Nighthawk in AP mode. Thanks! In select locations, 300 Mbps will be the max available download speed, but most Spectrum serviceable areas will have access to the 400 Mbps plan. I'd try the reset as I've read of Qos settings being retain/ctf (cut through forwarding staying disabled even once qos shut off. Silly me took forever to think maybe it was the cable (or whatever is on the other end).I would say it's possible your computer is reporting to your router that but if hooking it up to your gateway/modem (you said router for everything) directly got you over that then it's unlikely.Sounds like you have a modem/router combo and seeing speed reduction of connecting your Netgear router to the ISP gateway.
Your 400 should be about 120 using obsolete equipment and improper network cards, I would also expect a OLD WIFI2 (B) and old router with only 10/100 capable ports from the 90s to be around 20 or slightly higher. The router documentation states it supports up to 3 Gbps.Any ideas on where to start looking for the problem?Just out of curiosity...
